“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
That whoever believes in Him Should not perish but have Everlasting life.” John 3:16
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world
but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17
At Christmas time I am overwhelmed at the long term affects of that day the baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It was a plan unleashed that culminated in the very presence of God indwelling men and women everywhere who received the gift He gave on the awesome day that Jesus entered the human race.
The result of the “plan” opened the way for the very Holy Spirit of God to be able to enter the spirit of man. How can that be? When we accept the gift of salvation (eternal life) that was provided through that baby Jesus when his life was ended on the cross – our spirit is cleansed and becomes a place the Holy Spirit of God can live. It all started in Bethlehem when Jesus became a baby. No wonder we celebrate Christmas – what a reason to celebrate! I can experience God every moment of my life because of Christmas. I have a constant helper with me at all times because of Christmas. I have no fear of death as I look forward to Heaven – because of Christmas. I have no need to worry as I have a Heavenly Father who carries my burdens – because of Christmas. When I am in pain or suffering I have a comforter who holds my hand and calms my fears – because of Christmas.
What an opportunity to express our love to God, the Father, as we celebrate magnificently the beginning of his plan of redemption. Lets just celebrate, celebrate, and celebrate! – Show the Father how important this day is to you.
…From my journal
My precious children. I love your celebrations of the birth of my Son. Remember, when he was baptized I said, “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased”. I told the world how important Jesus was to me and to you. But, think about how I feel when one of my beloved creation accepts my gift and becomes a true child of God. That is cause for celebration in heaven – the angels rejoice and sing praise just as they did the day Jesus was born. Life becomes a celebration for you when you find joy in the birth of the baby Jesus – but also in the birth of a new believer. The celebration should never end – live magnificently celebrating every breath of a new day – new experiences in your walk of faith – new babes being born into my kingdom all over the world – Celebrate and fill the world with your joy, love and compassion. Remember always to love!
